Pole dancing is a fun cardiovascular workout and allows you to use your body in sensual ways that make you feel "all woman”. A form of self expression that empowers you through movement, pole dancing offers many fitness and health benefits. As a cardiovascular exercise, pole dancing increases the heart rate to a healthy level and so increases overall fitness. Stamina is improved over time and lean muscles develop, creating the toned body. Most importantly, it is a thoroughly enjoyable activity. Learning and socializing while exploring an intimate side of your personality in a supportive atmosphere is not usually recreated elsewhere. |
| Helpful Hints
- Bring your favorite Music.
- Bring a water bottle and a towel.
- Pole classes require skin to stick to the pole, shorts and tank tops or sport bra's are best.
- Footwear can be jazz shoes, ballet shoes, or trainers. Alternatively bare feet are acceptable.
- Do not apply lotions or oils before attending pole classes as it will be more difficult to grasp onto the pole.
- Please remove jewelry (rings, bracelets and watches).
- Pole dancing classes are open to all women, no matter your age (so long as you are over 18), shape, and size or fitness levels.
- Everyone may feel a little nervous at first but there is absolutely no nudity and you will do only what feels comfortable in a noncompetitive and safe environment.
- No negative comments about self or others in class. Only positive comments, such as; "Wow, look at me!" "You nailed that spin!" and so on …

| Bruising
When taking up any new sporting activity where friction occurs, some bruising may result. This is also possible when learning pole dancing.
Pole dancing is a fantastic body workout; however, most people find that it takes a couple of weeks for your body to adapt to supporting weight on parts of your body where you wouldn't normally support weight, for example, the back of your knees, or the inside of your thighs.
